This is essential for those who do not have a floppy drive by which to configure their dual booting boot manager and need to use a blank CD instead. It is strongly recommended that all users get a floppy drive for these types of things so they do not need to burn many images to CD-Roms as it usually takes longer and they usually cost more money. Unless one has many CD-RW disks or CD-R disks to…

The master boot record is the first thing your hard drive opens when you restart your computer – when you store the boot manager into the MBR you are overwriting the old MBR. This is only a security risk if you haven’t followed the necessary steps to ensure that your boot manager has been successfully configured to start up both of your operating systems. The curve ball in this episode is that you have to have an “official” license to…

If this test succeeds you have essentially completed your configuration and are only one step away from your completed dual boot system. You can repeat all of the steps from this series to install even three, four or five operating systems onto a single hard drive. Of course you want to make sure that your hard drive has enough disk space to support all of those hard drives. This is a great technique to know in…

We have been completely thorough up to this point so there is no sense in stopping now, there are only two episodes left after this one and that includes testing your Boot-US manager for the final product (off of your floppy disk) and then removing the floppy disk from the equation entirely. It’s been a long run so far but each step is essential in order to protect your computer from a complete reformat. This episode essentially is the pre-configuration for your final storage…

This is likely the step many of you have been waiting for. I know there sure are alot of steps to this process but each and every one of them is absolutely necessary. The fun begins on this episode because we simply need to put in our new operating system disk, restart the computer and run through the installation like we would if we were just installing a operating system.
