maybe you should make a how to build your own computer series,
all you have to do is show people how to build computers, not that hard.
But you could go over everything and show what types of problems people may run in to and how to resolve them.
also you could explain to people what they should get
example, a high cache on your CPU = a faster CPU
and other things that people most likely would not know.
i know most of these but i would still watch them cause i find it very entertaining to watch. and who knows you could probably teach me a ton of things.

Excellent suggestions,
One of my concerns with a series on how to build a computer is how hardware dependent building a computer is. I suppose I could be generalized in how I explain it and maybe go into detail on good "practices" or "guidelines" one should follow when building a computer. There really is no turn key method for teaching people how to build a computer.
Maybe a series on computer hardware and how it all functions together would be good. If people understand how it works then building one should be far less intimidating to them. At that point they will understand all of the roles of the components and why certain components carry more importance than others.
Jazz,
Just to give you a heads up, you put a space in your twitter account name so the link on your profile is broken. Youtube partnership is an interesting idea. I might do this one down the line since I just did a series on making money blogging. People might think I'm only catering to the entrepreneurial audience. As for the ads next to the videos, go to:
http://www.youtube.com/partners
It will give you instructions on linking a Google Adsense Account to your partnership application that was approved by YouTube. Once you have fulfilled the requirements, a button will display below your video in the "My Videos" section for "Enabling Revenue Sharing"

YES, definitely a good idea. I am extremely interested in the little things, and i learned so much in the past 3 years. About a year ago i said to myself "i think that everyone should have at a minimum the amount of knowledge i have for computers right now" and most people don't… most people have no clue what TB are, or what RPM's are good for, and why more cache on a CPU is better, and multi-core processors, etc.
it is essential to know ALL of this stuff when deciding to buy a good quality computer for yourself, and to save money.
thanks for hearing me out Craig, i hope when the corporations suck you in to their little lobbying world they won't steal you away from being so close to the community (haha)

How they set up linking the partnership to Adsense is kind of annoying. Basically once you are a partner you follow their instructions to "link" your account and submit your username and password for Adsense to them. However, they do NOT notify you AT ALL that you must wait 24 to 48 hours for your Adsense account to be linked. So you click "link" and you think something went wrong, but in reality, you just have to wait for the link to take place.

Congratulations Justin! That's awesome! Keep posting your content consistently and you'll be building up your viewer base over time. Remember, diligence and consistency is the key to success in anything that you do. Don't get discouraged over short term gains, remember that every video and post you make is one more in your catalog for long term gain.
Keep it up!

One video a day is tough, that's what I aim for. It's alot of work, but thankfully if it is a topic you enjoy it makes it much easier. I've noticed it can sometimes be too much for subscribers so I usually go a day or two a week to let the "content soak" as I call it.
I forget that people aren't always as excited about it as I am and too much information isn't always a good thing. Either way, the more you post the better, even if the short term results in loss of subscribers. The more content you have, the more people will find you. This is a FACT.
When you are making videos, DO NOT WASTE YOUR CONTENT, DO THE FOLLOWING STEPS:
1. ALWAYS be EXTREMELY descriptive in your title, what would people type into a search to see your video
2. ALWAYS be EXTREMELY descriptive in your description, Google cannot watch videos, neither can other search engines, you need to explain your entire video in detail in your description box.
3. ALWAYS leave a BACKLINK in your description. Have a related website or other YouTube channels? Link to them in the bottom of your video description, Google interprets these backlinks as a positive count towards your other content.
4. ALWAYS leave AT LEAST 6 tags on your tags section. Tags are keywords that people may use when searching for your videos. Do not repeat words and link words appropriately. (For example, if you are talking about "Free Software" it is better to have a tag called "free software" than one called "free" and another one called "software".
These are just some tips off the top of my head. Now that I am talking about it, I may do a video series on properly uploading and optimizing YouTube videos for maximum exposure.
