So I am glad to say that PCMichiana has grown substantially since the implementation of my new SEO strategy over the past month. If growth continues at this rate I will likely be looking to hire freelance writers for the show that I can pay (most likely via Paypal) on a per article basis.
Of course, I will need to start out small because, well, it's not like there's a ton of cash coming in on this deal (especially for the amount of time I put into it) – but I would really like to have fresh original quality content from people who are experienced and opinionated about any subject related to technology.
For example, if a person has their finger on the pulse of web design, movies, videogames or any other technology area – they can write reviews, editorials, news articles, updates, tutorials, guides or walkthroughs on that particular subject.
Right now my pricing structure will likely be as such:
400 Word Articles – $5.00 per article
800 Word Articles – $10.00 per article
I will obviously set a monthly maximum for each writer so I can afford it – it will likely be in the $50.00 range at least until things get moving and published. I will also be spending the next couple of weeks putting together editorial guidelines so writers know exactly what their responsibilities are to pass my editorial process.
I'm guessing Kazuki might be interested in this, but anyone else? I have a few friends I know it would appeal to.
