Once upon a time we needed to wait years for great games to come out, but since gaming has become such a profitable industry – everyone is working at making really great stuff for us to fork our money out. While this is a great thing, it is also frustrating to us gamers who have time constraints.
I remember in high school when I could spend 3 to 4 hours a day playing games and even had the time to really sit down and experience everything the game had to offer. But now? I'd literally have to quit my job to keep up with games in their current form. It really doesn't help that all of these games seem to hit between September and January. This year?
Skyrim – Touts hundreds of hours of play time if you do everything
Batman: Arkham city – Said to be the best franchise game of all time, 30 to 40 hours play time
Battlefield 3 – Depending on your addiction to multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 3 – Same as Battlefireld 3.
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
Gear of War 3
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO
That is basically 7 must have titles in a three month span. Not to mention First Quarter 2012 is talking about games such as Mass Effect 3 and the new Assassins Creed.
Short of losing or quitting your job and failing classes – what is your strategy for keeping up?
