This video goes over how to disable the error reporting service that sends crash reports to microsoft (if you let it). Now if you are feeling charitable, then you can leave this error reporting service enabled and continue to send anonymous crash report information to Microsoft. However, since microsoft announced it was no longer going to support the Windows XP operating system at some point, the error reporting service essentially becomes more useless then ever – and the crash reports probably end up being sent to some international logging system that prints them out and shreds them (why not?).
