This is an annoying little problem. When I search Google using Chrome and I click on say result No 9 then hit the back button to go back to the search results I am taken to the top of the page. This doesn’t happen when searching EBay in Chrome or when searching Google in I.E. only searching Google in Chrome.
Is it me? or has anybody else found this.Is there anything I can do so that I go back to search result No 9 (or whatever No result I opened).
Many thanks GrahamT.

Off the top of my head I cannot think of any way to solve this problem. Although what is odd is that it seems to depend on the page and how they index it, Chrome has trouble with some sites with returning to the area of a search after pressing the back button that other websites do not have trouble with. I don't know if it is how those websites write the "location" or how Chrome interprets it.

Thanks Craig, it's reassuring to know someone else has this issue and that it's not me or my computer.

If I come across an answer I'll post it here.
