Welcome to the forum!
There are a few things I will need to know before properly troubleshooting your issue
- What operating system are you running?
- What kind of USB flash drive are you using?
- What kind of wireless router are you using?
- When you say your "wireless connection works" do you mean your computer can connect to the router but cannot connect to the internet?
- When you click Start > Run… type Command and press enter, then type ipconfig into the console and press enter again, what shows up under your "IP Address" and "Gateway" sections?
Hopefully this can give us a better framework to find out what's going on.

1. I am running a windows xp
2. My USB flash drive is a Sandisk Cruzer 8gb
3. My router is a Netgear
4. When I say my wireless connection works I'm saying that on my laptop it says that it is connected to the router and its signal strenth is good, but when I click my Internet browser (Mozilla Firefox) it says server not found.
5. It says IP Adress : 0.0.0.0 and for Default Gateway it has nothing.
The thing is that I think I deleted my driver from laptop or something important so then I downloaded it on my desktop and then I put it on my flash drive, after that I connected my flash drive to my laptop and opened up the removable disk thing and i double clicked on the file but it didn't work.

Can you connect to 192.168.1.1 in your browser? (http://192.168.1.1)
If you can, that at least means you're configured correctly to the network. Also, where are you finding your IP address at?
You can try to do this, not sure if it'll help or not:
1. Open up the "Run" command
2. Type in "ipconfig /release"
3. Wait 30 seconds, type in "ipconfig /renew"
4. Wait again, then try your internet browser again.
I would also suggest checking your firewall settings, and possibly clearing your cache. When someone had this problem before (with not being able to connect) I reset the router and cleared the cache and it started working again.
There may also be something in your %temp% folder causing you to not be able to connect to the internet. You should clean that folder out on a regular basis at it just collects junk.

Sincerely,
Wolfy.

I tried doing the "run" command thing but then it said "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation." But what my question is how can i transfer a file to my laptop using my USB flash drive for example this is what i want to do. I want to update my laptop computer driver because I think that is the problem. And, this is what I did, I downloaded it from my desktop computer I put it in a folder and then I put the folder in my USB Flash drive after that I disconnected the flash drive and I connected it to my laptop but it wouldn't install.

Your internet isn't working because it is not receiving an IP address from your router over the wireless. The first thing you need to check is your network connections settings in the control panel. First select Start > Control Panel, open up Network Connections, Right Click on Wireless Connections and Click Properties. Scroll down until you see Internet Properties and double click on it. Make sure the box "Obtain an IP Address Automatically" is selected. Also make sure the "Obtain a DNS Server Automatically" is selected. Choose Ok, then Ok again and it should attempt to update your IP address from your router. If it does not, let me know so we can move forward with alternate solutions (such as installing your new driver through the flash drive).
As for the flash drive, have you seen this video I have posted yet?
External Drive: Windows Will Not Detect My USB Flash Thumb Drive, Why? | Sleuth Q&A!

Give that a shot as well and see if it helps with your USB drive issue.

This means that your router isn't connecting correctly to your computer / network. To transfer a file between computers though all you do is put it on the USB and than "Safely Remove the device" and transfer the file onto the other computer. You have to than run the .exe that you transferred that's contained on the USB. Simply plugging it in won't make it run on it's own.

I thought it was pretty simple, but I can put it in simpler terms if you need so. Here's step by step what you need to do.
1. Download the installation file that you need to install this software / driver that you claim you need.
2. Plug in your USB to one of the USB ports on your computer.
3. Once recognized by the PC go to "My Computer" and then select the USB drive (double click)
4. Drag the installation file over to the USB drive and put it in either the main directory or into any folder you please.
5. Un-plug the USB once the file is done being transferred.
6. Put the USB into the other computer and repeat step 2-3
7. Double click on the installation file to install the software / drivers.
It's as simple as that really.

Wolfy.
