Hello Man,

Great Videos!! Thank you very much for this

I recently bought a new Dell XPS 17 laptop with i7-2630QM,

I bought it with windows 7 home, Should i upgrade to pro?? i need it for proffesional audio and video work..

Does the home version dont use the full proccesor power? like they say here:

http://www.winsupersite.com/ar…..comparison

Is doing what you said in "Faster 7 Episode 20" is enough?

Thank you!!

I apologize for the delay.

Take a look at this chart, far more in depth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W…..ison_chart

Now, it really depends on which edition of "home" you have.

Most likely, it has Home Premium, and if this is the case, then you are in good shape.

If it has Home Basic, then you will want to make sure it is Home Basic "64-bit" edition.

If it has "Starter", then you will definitely want to look into upgrading to a Home Basic or Premium 64-bit edition of the software.

My video simply shows you how to unlock parked cores, it does not compensate for lack of a 64-bit operating system.

Welcome to the forum William!

No, you shouldn't need to do any upgrades, it should have come with the 64-bit version of Home.

To check, right click on "computer" on your desktop and select properties. It should say "64-bit" for the version of your operating system. If that is the case, you should be good to go.
