cannot shut down PC
'program not responding, End Now'
for explorer.exe.

OS sytem:XP With Windows Service pack 3

McAfee Virus scan is being used on clients PC.

Even if Virus scan is disabled PC still gets that error. User only uses pc for emailing, Ms Office and IE.

Please advise

When you disable McAfee you actually don't disable it, uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue. Let me know.
