Today’s video will show you how to configure your Windows Vista operating system to boot from multiple cores on a multi-core processor environment. Windows is configured by default to boot from a single core processor, thus the boot time on Vista may be shortened because it is not utilizing all of the cores in your multi-core processor. Now for those of you who have spent your hard earned money on a multi-core processor such as a dual-core or quad-core – you want to get as much out of your Vista environment as you can. – The purpose of the faster vista series is a combination of tips, tweaks and tricks to get Vista to operate faster. The accumulation of each tip should allow one to get the most out of their system – so every little bit counts, especially when it can be done in less than 50 seconds.
You do realize this will do little to know, that feature is for diagnostics anyways. The majority of the boot relies on your hard drive speed and cache than anything.
