Google Gmail is one of the most powerful Email applications available today. What many people do not realize is that there are many features available to users of the Gmail service not readily advertised… I suppose that is what I am here for. This video shows how to convert your Google Gmail account, which includes 8 gigabytes of network storage, into a free remote storage drive on your computer.
Gmail Drive is not a new piece of software, in fact, it has been around for over four years. I used Gmail drive all through college to keep track of all my files and projects from homework assignments to simple fun applications. The great thing about Gmail drive is it allows you to not only store all of your files on the remote storage for free, but you can even delete them at any time.
Using Gmail Drive is very simple, once you have installed the application it actually maps a Gmail network drive right to your Windows explorer under My computer. Then you double click on the storage drive and login to your Gmail account. At this point you can copy over any files you may want too. The way Google stores these files is to create an individual Email for each file uploaded and you can access those files either directly through your Gmail interface or through another mapped network storage device on another computer.
For those who have no use of a new Email service, converting the Gmail into 8 GB of free remote storage may just be a reason to sign up for a Google Account. Most of you probably already have a Google account from setting up your Android phone and just need to activate the Gmail section of it. So for those of you who do not have Gmail, I recommend swinging over and signing up for your free Google Gmail acccount now.

There are likely one of two things going on here.
1. You do not have administrative privileges to use cookies on your system. If you are the only user of this computer it is likely you are a system administrator. To double check you can check your user settings in the control panel.
2. Cookies are disabled on your system. You can always turn on cookies in Windows, reboot your computer and try again.
Let me know how it goes.
Craig I am having trouble getting this done.I am having a window that keeps popping up saying “Your IE brower’s cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on”. I have done everything I know to do and nothing is working. Also if I place my files and stuff I am wanting to keep can I delete it off my computer and not lose it?
