CAMStudio has been out for quite awhile and it has developed a reputation for being a good free screen capture software. We typically recommend this software first because it is open source and allows you to use it for free. Even if this software isn’t as good as other screen capture software you can buy, I’d still recommend you give it a try given that it is free.
