This video will show you a free method to burn an ISO or IMG file to a blank CD or DVD for booting. This is essential for those who do not have a floppy drive by which to configure their dual booting boot manager and need to use a blank CD instead. It is strongly recommended that all users get a floppy drive for these types of things so they do not need to burn many images to CD-Roms as it usually takes longer and they usually cost more money. Unless one has many CD-RW disks or CD-R disks to spare it is typically better to go with the bootable floppy system. Besides, you can get a floppy drive for around 6 dollars.

This final video in the series will show you how to apply your boot manager to your master boot record. The master boot record is the first thing your hard drive opens when you restart your computer – when you store the boot manager into the MBR you are overwriting the old MBR. This is only a security risk if you haven’t followed the necessary steps to ensure that your boot manager has been successfully configured to start up both of your operating systems. The curve ball in this episode is that you have to have an “official” license to true hide your other partitions, but the truth is you can always either leave your floppy disk in to true hide them OR you can live with the other partitions not being true hid. The software only runs around 18 dollars anyways.

This video is the final test before the final episode and will ensure both of your operating systems boot successfully from the boot manager. If this test succeeds you have essentially completed your configuration and are only one step away from your completed dual boot system. You can repeat all of the steps from this series to install even three, four or five operating systems onto a single hard drive. Of course you want to make sure that your hard drive has enough disk space to support all of those hard drives. This is a great technique to know in the IT world as many geeks these days cannot even do it. Many geeks resort to the virtualization method, which works great for some applications, but it doesn’t always give you the results you need. Sometimes you need more.

Today’s video will show you how to configure your new operating system in the Boot-US manager. We have been completely thorough up to this point so there is no sense in stopping now, there are only two episodes left after this one and that includes testing your Boot-US manager for the final product (off of your floppy disk) and then removing the floppy disk from the equation entirely. It’s been a long run so far but each step is essential in order to protect your computer from a complete reformat. This episode essentially is the pre-configuration for your final storage into your computers boot manager. Stick with me for two more episodes, you will not regret it.

Today’s video will finally begin the installation of the second operating system on our dual boot. This is likely the step many of you have been waiting for. I know there sure are alot of steps to this process but each and every one of them is absolutely necessary. The fun begins on this episode because we simply need to put in our new operating system disk, restart the computer and run through the installation like we would if we were just installing a operating system. The nice thing about Boot-US is that it hides our old operating system so we don’t really need to worry about conflicting with it.
